The Asian Development Bank has approved a concessional loan of $115 million to improve water supply and sanitation services in 13 districts of Nepal.
The Asian Development Bank has approved a concessional loan of $115 million to improve water supply and sanitation services in Nepal. The loan will be used to implement projects in 13 districts across the country. The Integrated Water Supply and Sewerage Management Project is expected to expand access to drinking water and make wastewater and sanitation management more effective.
More than 850,000 people are expected to benefit from the project. The project will focus on strengthening water supply systems and improving sanitation-related infrastructure. The support is expected to help improve public health, urban service delivery and access to basic services in the project areas.
