Armed Police Seize 922 kg Marijuana Hidden Under Rice Husk in Morang

Armed Police Force Nepal has seized around 922 kilograms of marijuana from Mahadebkol area of Jahada Rural Municipality-7 in Morang district on Jestha 28. The team deployed from Armed Police Force Nepal Border Security Gulma Sorabhag and Border Out Post Nocha recovered the marijuana based on special information received at around 11 pm on Jestha 27.

The marijuana was being transported in a one-ton pickup vehicle with registration number Ko 1 Kha 7022, traveling from Laxminiya toward Tarigama. Police said the 29 packets of marijuana were hidden under sacks of rice husk. An Indian motorcycle with registration number BR 38 Z 7452, which was allegedly escorting the pickup vehicle, was also taken under control. The drivers of both the vehicle and the motorcycle fled the scene. The seized pickup, motorcycle and marijuana have been handed over to the concerned authority.
