BP Highway Closed After Water Level Rises in Roshi River

Vehicle movement on the BP Highway has been stopped from 12:30 pm today due to possible risk caused by the rising water level in the Roshi River. Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista of the District Police Office, Dhulikhel, said all types of vehicles operating along the Roshi section have been restricted for the safety of passengers and vehicles.

According to police, vehicles traveling through the BP Highway have been stopped at Dhulikhel in Kavre, while coordination with the Sindhuli security committee has been made to stop vehicles at Khurkot and Nepalthok. As the BP Highway has been repeatedly disrupted due to unseasonal rainfall, the indefinite night-time closure has also been extended. Police have urged everyone to travel only after getting updated information about the road condition.
