CIAA Letter to Arzu Rana Received by Bhanu Deuba

A letter sent by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority to former foreign minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has been received by Bhanu Deuba. The letter was related to the e-passport procurement irregularity case and asked Rana to appear for a statement. Bhanu Deuba, the personal secretary of former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, confirmed that he had received the CIAA letter.

Budhanilkantha Municipality-2 Chair Rajendra Shrestha confirmed that Deuba received the letter last Tuesday, Ashar 2. According to Shrestha, Rana and other family members are not currently staying at the Budhanilkantha residence. He said Bhanu Deuba, who is staying at the Maharajgunj residence of former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, received the letter after being contacted. The deadline notice was served in the presence of ward representatives.
