Eight Dead as Passenger Bus Crashes in Kavre

Eight people have died after a passenger bus heading from Banepa in Kavre toward Sungure of Roshi Rural Municipality crashed. According to the District Police Office, Kavre, the bus with registration number Ba 3 Kha 8398 met with an accident on Friday at Buchchakot in Namobuddha Municipality-2 along the BP Highway.

After the accident, local residents and security personnel were deployed for rescue work. Other passengers are also feared injured in the incident, but the exact number of injured has not yet been made public. Police said the identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed. The cause of the accident has also not been immediately established.
