Four new films are set to release in Nepali theaters from Friday, including the Nepali-language film I Am Jit Bahadur. Theaters opened advance ticket sales on Thursday for the upcoming releases. The films are arriving in cinemas amid the ongoing World Cup football atmosphere. The releases include Jitu Nepal’s I Am Jit Bahadur, Shahid Kapoor’s Cocktail 2, the South Korean film Colony and Hollywood’s Toy Story 5. However, advance ticket sales for all the films have remained low.
I Am Jit Bahadur has received 115 shows across the country. Directed by Shubhendu Ghosh, the 133-minute drama stars Jitu Nepal, Barsha Raut, Priyanka Karki, Sandeep Chhetri and Deshbhakta Khanal. The film tells the story of the struggle faced by artists. Colony is a South Korean film with subtitles, based on a biological crisis and the struggle for human survival. Directed by Yeon Sang-ho, the drama, horror and crime film stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan and Ji Chang-wook. Cocktail 2 is a Hindi comedy-drama romance film about modern relationships, love, friendship and emotional conflict. Directed by Homi Adajania, it stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. Toy Story 5 is the latest Hollywood entry in the popular adventure animation franchise, showing the challenge faced by toys as electronic devices increasingly shape children’s play and entertainment.
