Kalimati Market Sets Today’s Wholesale Prices for Fruits and Vegetables
The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has fixed the maximum wholesale prices of agricultural products for today.
The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has fixed the maximum wholesale prices of agricultural products for today. According to the committee, large Nepali tomatoes have been priced at Rs 60 per kg, large Indian tomatoes at Rs 70 per kg, small local tomatoes at Rs 20 per kg and tunnel tomatoes at Rs 35 per kg. Red long potatoes have been fixed at Rs 38 per kg, round red potatoes at Rs 35 per kg, red mude potatoes at Rs 35 per kg and dry Indian onions at Rs 43 per kg. Local carrots are priced at Rs 100 per kg, local cabbage at Rs 60 per kg, local cauliflower at Rs 60 per kg, red radish at Rs 40 per kg and hybrid white radish at Rs 20 per kg.
Among green vegetables, bitter gourd has been fixed at Rs 40 per kg, bottle gourd at Rs 50 per kg, okra at Rs 30 per kg, pumpkin at up to Rs 60 per kg and squash at Rs 50 per kg. Leafy vegetables include rayo saag at Rs 50 per kg, spinach at Rs 90 per kg, chamsur saag at Rs 90 per kg and mustard greens at Rs 60 per kg. Mushroom prices are higher, with oyster mushroom at Rs 250 per kg, button mushroom at Rs 370 per kg, king mushroom at Rs 300 per kg and shiitake mushroom at Rs 1,000 per kg. Asparagus has been fixed at Rs 350 per kg, broccoli at Rs 100 per kg, tofu at Rs 160 per kg and gundruk at Rs 350 per kg. In fruits, Fuji apple is priced at Rs 300 per kg, Nepali banana at Rs 200 per dozen, Malbhog banana at Rs 220 per dozen, lemon at Rs 160 per kg, pomegranate at Rs 420 per kg, Malda mango at Rs 70 per kg and Dasheri mango at Rs 100 per kg. Litchi local is priced at Rs 250 per kg, Indian litchi at Rs 300 per kg, while fresh rohu fish has been fixed at Rs 340 per kg.
