Langtang Trail Race Showcases Beauty and Tourism Potential of Langtang

A visit to the Langtang region for the Langtang Trail Race offered a powerful glimpse of one of Bagmati Province’s major tourist destinations. Surrounded by mountains, with a beautiful settlement in the middle, a monastery beside the village and homes ready to welcome guests through hotels and homestays, Langtang gave the impression of a piece of heaven on earth. The team, including the Chief Minister, Finance Minister, Tourism Ministry Secretary and other officials, traveled to the area while preparations for the budget were underway. After reaching Tribhuvan International Airport early in the morning, the team’s helicopter journey to Langtang began at around 9 am due to weather delay. The flight over Kathmandu Valley, green hills and Himalayan ranges, including Ganesh Himal, made the journey memorable. After reaching the Kyanjen Valley, the close view of Langtang Himal left a deep impression with its grandeur, peace and natural beauty.

Shortly after the team arrived, the Langtang Trail Race from Kyanjen to Syabrubesi officially began. The race saw encouraging participation from both domestic and international runners. Passing through mountains, rivers, forests and local settlements, the event reflected not only the spirit of sport but also the strong value of mountain tourism promotion in Nepal. During the short stay, the team also gathered information about local tourism, infrastructure and future possibilities. Even in a limited visit, Langtang’s hospitality, natural beauty and glimpse of Himalayan life left a lasting memory, making the journey an unforgettable chapter.
