Messi Hat-Trick Seals Comfortable Argentina Win Over Algeria

Defending champions Argentina secured a comfortable win in the FIFA World Cup 2026. In the recently completed match, Argentina defeated Algeria 3-0. Captain Lionel Messi scored all three goals for Argentina. Messi opened the scoring in the 17th minute and later added goals in the 60th and 70th minutes to complete his hat-trick.

This was Messi’s first hat-trick in his World Cup career. With the three goals, Messi also equaled the record for the most goals in FIFA World Cup history. He matched German striker Miroslav Klose’s record of 16 World Cup goals.
