Nepali Congress Seeks Clarification from Deepak Khadka and Two Sankhuwasabha Leaders
The Nepali Congress Central Disciplinary Committee has asked former minister Deepak Khadka and two Sankhuwasabha leaders to submit explanations within five days over allegations of election sabotage.
The Nepali Congress has sought clarification from three Sankhuwasabha leaders, including former minister Deepak Khadka, over allegations of election sabotage. The party’s Central Disciplinary Committee has asked Khadka, Sankhuwasabha district secretary Kumar Bahadur Adhikari, and proportional representation candidate Thal Kumar Linkha to submit explanations within five days.

Khadka is accused of refusing to accept the committee formed through the special convention, saying Congress would not win, asking close associates not to attend party programs, and allegedly seeking votes for the sun, bell, and soil symbols while publicly asking for votes for the tree. Adhikari and Linkha are also accused of following Khadka’s instructions and not supporting the official candidate. The separate clarification letters signed by committee secretary Dinesh Thapa Magar warn that action will be taken as per the party statute if satisfactory responses are not submitted within the deadline.
