UML Vice-Chair Bishnu Paudel Arrested From Surkhet
CPN-UML Vice-Chair and former finance minister Bishnu Paudel has been arrested from Surkhet in connection with an investigation related to money laundering.
CPN-UML Vice-Chair and former finance minister Bishnu Paudel has been arrested from Surkhet. Paudel was reportedly arrested in connection with an investigation related to a money laundering case. He had reached Surkhet to participate in a province-level program organized as part of the party’s election review and reorganization taskforce’s suggestion collection campaign.
The Department of Money Laundering Investigation team has also raided Paudel’s current residence in Bhainsepati, Kathmandu. According to the report, the raid was carried out after his arrest from Surkhet. Further details about the investigation and the allegations have not yet been made public.
