English text: CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has instructed party leaders not to immediately replace UML ministers in the Sudurpaschim provincial government. The instruction came by phone on Monday while the UML parliamentary party was holding a meeting to decide on changing the ministers representing the party in the government. According to a leader cited in the report, a call came to UML parliamentary party leader Rajendra Singh Rawal from the number of Nirudevi Pal, who is in Oli’s secretariat, and Oli himself spoke during the call.

Oli reportedly said that replacing ministers during the budget period would not send a good message and advised keeping all current ministers in place for now. Earlier, after internal disputes within the Congress, which leads the Sudurpaschim government, preparations were underway to reshuffle the cabinet by including some ministers from the dissatisfied faction. In line with that, UML had also prepared to recall its existing ministers and send new names. UML currently has Surendra Pal as Physical Infrastructure Minister, Hira Sarki as Internal Affairs and Law Minister, Bir Bahadur Thapa as Land Management Minister, and Nirmala Saud as state minister in the provincial government.
