Opposition parties have agreed to end the long-running obstruction in the House after discussions with the ruling side at Singha Durbar on Wednesday.
Opposition parties have agreed to end the ongoing deadlock in the House. After discussions with the ruling side at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, the opposition parties agreed to stop obstructing the House proceedings. Nepali Congress whip Nishkal Rai said the parties agreed that Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal would be allowed to speak in the House.
The parties also decided to request the Speaker to remove the Prime Minister’s border-related remarks from the parliamentary record. Rai said a long obstruction in Parliament would not send a good message, so the opposition would no longer block the House. However, he said the opposition would continue to draw attention to its issues.
