Rajendra Lingden Says RSP Got Votes From Pro-Monarchy Supporters
RPP Chair Rajendra Lingden has said RSP also received votes from pro-monarchy supporters because people believed Balendra Shah could bring back the king.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Rajendra Lingden has said Rastriya Swatantra Party also received votes from pro-monarchy supporters. Speaking at the opening ceremony of RSP’s general convention, Lingden said many people had voted for RSP with the belief that Balendra Shah would bring back the king. He said RSP now has a special responsibility to address that specific expectation of the people.
Lingden said those who want the king also voted for RSP, even though RPP is the party that openly supports the monarchy. He argued that the country’s problems are not limited to individual leaders but are also linked to the Constitution and the current constitutional system. Lingden said the country cannot move forward without reforming the Constitution and told RSP leaders that they have a historic opportunity.
