RSP Completes First-Round Voting, 2,959 Representatives Participate

Rastriya Swatantra Party has completed the first round of voting at its first general convention. The voting was held under the ongoing convention in Bharatpur, Chitwan, though it began later than the scheduled time. In the first phase, voting was conducted for central committee members.

According to the party’s Central Election Commission, 2,959 representatives participated in the first round of voting. The second phase of voting for office bearers will also be held today. According to leader Manish Jha, voting for the second phase is expected to begin by 4 pm. RSP leader Bipin Acharya said elections will be held for six office-bearer positions. Voting will take place for one open vice-chair, one women vice-chair, one open general secretary, two open deputy general secretaries and one women deputy general secretary. Each representative is expected to take around four to five minutes to vote for the office-bearer positions.
