RSP General Convention Begins Today in Chitwan
Rastriya Swatantra Party’s first general convention begins today in Chitwan, with party chair Rabi Lamichhane and senior leader Balendra Shah scheduled to inaugurate the event.
Rastriya Swatantra Party’s first general convention is beginning today in Chitwan. The party said most preparations for the convention have been completed to make the event organized and representative. The convention, which will be held at Guesthouse Chaur in Bharatpur, is scheduled to be inaugurated by party chair Rabi Lamichhane and Prime Minister and senior leader Balendra Shah.
RSP spokesperson Manish Jha said representatives have been selected from districts, provinces and contact committees abroad. According to the party, venue management, accommodation, transportation, security and volunteer mobilization have also been completed. Political, economic, organizational and statute-related reports have already been prepared for the convention. The convention will discuss statute amendment, policy proposals and current political issues. The party has also decided to revise its structure, including a 151-member central committee with province chairs as ex-officio members. A total of 3,918 representatives are expected to participate in the convention.
