RSP Selects 4,211 Representatives for First National General Convention

Rastriya Swatantra Party has selected 4,211 representatives for its first national general convention. The representatives have been chosen from seven provinces, overseas contact departments, nomination and party integration groups. According to Shankar Shrestha, secretary of the party secretariat’s organization department, 170 representatives have been selected from overseas contact departments in 33 countries, while 138 have been nominated by the party chair as per the statute.

The party has also selected 192 people who entered the party in groups. Province-wise, 364 representatives will participate from Koshi, 630 from Madhesh, 794 from Bagmati, 621 from Lumbini, 454 from Gandaki, 343 from Karnali and 505 from Sudurpaschim. The convention representatives include local level chairs, constituency chairs and vice-chairs, district chairs and five representatives from each district structure. Members of province committees, province-level departments, discipline commissions and advisory councils have also been selected as representatives. Central members of the federal leadership forum, representatives from 38 central departments, and members from the central election, discipline and audit commissions will also participate.
