UML Lawmaker Kshitij Thebe Demands PM Balen’s Apology to End House Obstruction

CPN-UML lawmaker Kshitij Thebe has demanded that Prime Minister Balendra Shah apologize and help end the obstruction in Parliament as soon as possible. Speaking at Tuesday’s House of Representatives meeting, Thebe said UML lawmakers were not standing in protest merely for the sake of protest. He said the issue was sensitive and warned that history would not forgive them if they remained silent on such a matter.

Thebe said the Prime Minister’s remarks should be clarified, especially the expression suggesting that Nepal had encroached on India’s land. He said the Prime Minister should move forward by apologizing in his own words. The UML lawmaker also raised questions about the Economic Bill, saying there appeared to be intent behind it, and added that Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle should act responsibly.
